Sledding

Daddy took him out in the snow (all one inch of it) this morning to pull him around on the sled. Karston was worried about falling off the sled at first, but he started smiling after a few runs.

An hour later when it was time to warm up inside, Karston reluctantly come in to tell me that snow is fun and to make sure I saw his sled (orange! orange! and pointing out the window). Snow is more fun when someone in our house is that happy about it!

Full of Beans

This evening, Karston's parents were trying to convince him to wind down by sprawling on the couch. Actually, we were exhausted and wanted to go to bed, but cuddling on the couch will often get him to wind down for bed. So we're on the couch and Karston was ... running circles around the couch, laughing. I told him he was full of beans! The next many laps around the couch were running, laughing, and repeating full of beans! He proved my point thoroughly ...

Snow

We got an inch of snow today! Although it isn't the first time that Karston has seen snow, it's the first time he's seen snow(a) that he might be old enough to remember, and (b) that actually covered the grass. He really wasn't interested in clothes today (until bath time, and then he wanted his clothes on), so we didn't take him out in it. (*ahem* To be honest, that's the royal we; I have no interest in going out in the cold if I can help it, but I'm sure Daddy will give him a tour of snow if he'll bundle up.) Speaking of, I bet the cat would like to come in now ...
